I’m including these two because they are technically walking sticks and a part of my collection even though they were not made by me in relation to the rest of my collection.

My dad gave me the first one and I think it was an old closet pole that we were going to throw away but then it was re-purposed into a walking stick. There is a “B” at one end which represents the first letter of mt first name. I think we were going to include my full name but I don’t remember why it never got to that point. I’m not sure what kind of wood this is but it might be pine.

The second one was a broom handle which was going to be repaired and used as a broom again with a new brush but I took it and like any kid with an imagination and not much to do I made it into my interpretation of a sword. I was in the 7th or 8th grade at this point and my parents were not happy that they had to buy another broom. I put electrical tape on one end to represent the handle and then attempted to make the other end the “blade”. Since I was kid my parents wouldn’t let me use power tools unsupervised so I just started sanding down the end at an angle to make it sharp. Well, I gave up after about an hour and it looks like a pole with a chunk missing at one end. I started using it as a walking stick when I would wander around the creek near my house but after another kid in my neighborhood tried to steal it I decided not to use it anymore. I have no idea what kind of wood this is.
